The BIG Little Science Centre is dedicated to developing a passion for science in our community.

WHY IS the CULTURE of SCIENCE IMPORTANT?

• It is the underlying foundation of everything around us
• Canada has a stated goal of being a world leader in science and technology
• STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics is the foundation of a strong economy
• Our real-world problems, like climate change, fossil fuels, pandemics, resource management, feeding eight billion people…these will all be solved by the children we are educating today.

How do we benefit the community?

• Educate the community about science
• Develop a passion for science
• Act as a tourist attraction for the Kamloops area
• Provide affordable family fun
• Hands on activities for people of all ages

We are a cultural institution, like an art gallery, theater group, or sports organization.
